As per a recent post by Economic Times, SBI, Bank of Baroda, Syndicate Bank, and Canara Bank are already in the process of releasing the recruitment for as much as one lakh people in an ongoing financial year. In an aim to push new age banking experience to these PSBs, Banks are looking to add more and more employees for service.

Needs for Hiring

Today, Business Today released an article claiming that PSBs have hired approximately 95000 personnel in the past two years for positions like Clerk, management trainees and Probationary officers (PO). Even after hiring 95000 personnel, 20 % of total employees fall in the category of Clerks. SBI is the only Public Sector Bank where 45% of employees are Clerks than officers.

Today’s world is all about Technologies and new age evolutions. Banks are also looking to keep up with the pace of this modern era by hiring young manpower to remain prolific in areas like digital marketing and asset recovery.

Revamping Average Age

Another PSB, Syndicate bank is on the verge of hiring people as the average age of employees have come down from 46.5 years to 37 Years in the last 2 years. The largest lender in the country, SBI will organize the upcoming recruitment drive. Apart from fresh hiring, the bank is also looking to appoint 5000 employees through lateral hiring scheme in order to keep up with the potential expansion on the cards over the coming quarters.

IBPS PO 2018 Exam Pattern & Selection Process

IBPS PO Exam consists of 3 stages:

  • Preliminary Exam
  • Mains Exam
  • Interview

Note: IBPS has made a change in the exam pattern this time for Prelims Exam. It has introduced sectional timing for each section in the Prelims exam.

IBPS PO Preliminary Exam Pattern

The Preliminary Exam is of 100 marks which is divided into 3 sections. The total time allotted for this exam is 1 hours which is divided into 20 minutes for each section. The exam is objective type and the mode of exam is online.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification

A candidate must be a Graduate from any discipline from a recognized college/university or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. The candidate must have English as language in SSC/HSC/Intermediate and Graduate level. The candidate must have proof in certificate of passing the qualifying exam.

Age (01.08.2018)

  • Minimum age should be 20
  • Maximum age should be 30.

RBI has released notification for the recruitment of 166 Grade B posts. RBI has released an advertisement in a Hindi Newspaper giving partial details of the RBI Grade B Recruitment. According to the Hindi Newspaper cutting – The applications would be accepted in online mode only and would begin from 3rd July 2018 and go on till 23rd July 2018. All details like the release of Official notification, vacancies, Selection process, online application form, all other instructions as well as DEPR/DSIM will be available on the official website of RBI from 3rd July 2018.
